The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
